Support
Answers to common questions, and how to reach a person.
Contact us: support@intostory.app
In the app, Settings → Contact support sends your message with the details we need (app version, plan and the story in question), which is usually the fastest way to a fix. We reply by email, normally within two business days.
Story-minutes and plans
What are story-minutes?
Stories are measured by their length. A 1-minute story uses 1 story-minute, a 5-minute story uses 5. The cost is shown on the Create button before anything is charged, and your balance is in Settings → Plan and minutes, with a list of what each minute was used for.
Smaller edits cost less: redrawing one picture uses 10 seconds, a new narrator uses half the story’s length, and a rewrite uses its full length. A picture that came out damaged can be redrawn for free.
How many minutes do I get?
- Free: one 60-second story of your own, plus the free gallery.
- Starter: 20 story-minutes a month, stories up to 3 minutes.
- Plus: 50 story-minutes a month, stories up to 10 minutes.
- Unused plan minutes roll over for one month, up to one month’s allowance. Extra minutes bought as a pack never expire.
- The 3-day free trial on monthly plans includes 6 story-minutes.
A story failed. Do I lose my minutes?
No. When a story can’t be finished, every minute it used goes back to your balance automatically, to the same place it came from. The failed story shows a Try again button; that charges once for the new attempt, so you pay once in total. If a prompt is blocked by our safety checks, nothing is charged at all.
Listening
Can I listen offline?
Yes, on Starter and Plus. Long-press a story in your Library and choose Download for offline. It keeps its narration, pictures and music on your phone. Settings → Downloads shows the space used and removes them all. If you cancel your plan, stories you already made stay in your library and keep playing.
How do series and scheduled episodes work?
A series keeps a title, a premise, a cast of saved characters, a voice and a style. Each new episode picks up from the one before. Tap New episode now whenever you like; it uses story-minutes like any story.
On Plus you can schedule a series: pick a time and days, and a new episode is ready at that time in your time zone, with a notification. If you don’t have enough minutes that night, the episode is skipped and nothing is charged.
Subscriptions and account
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so they are cancelled in your store account, not in the app.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Intostory → Cancel Subscription. Or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Intostory → Cancel. Or open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
I paid but my plan isn’t showing.
Make sure you are signed in with the same email you used when you bought it. A new purchase can take up to a minute to appear. Still missing? Email us with the date of the purchase and the store receipt (Apple or Google emails it to you).
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account (you may be asked to sign in again first, with a new emailed code). You can also ask us by email. Everything about deleting, including what is removed and when, is on the Delete account page. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it in the store first.
How do I report a story?
Every shared story page has a Report button, and you can report or block from inside the app. We review every report. You can also email us with the link.
Still stuck?
Email support@intostory.app. Tell us the email you sign in with and, if it’s about one story, when you made it. Please don’t send passwords or card numbers.
